Hi, My name is Justin and I am new to the Forum and have a question. I recently rescued a "Cane Corso" from a shelter. Ive been told different things. I know theres no way to know if hes a fullbread Cane Corso, But id like to know yalls opinions on his pictures. Ive been told hes a Pitbull by random people, but the Vets say hes to big to be a pitbull. The shelter had him listed as a Cane Corso. Hes 8 months old at 75 pounds and take a look at his pics and tell me what yall think please.

Kind of hard to tell from the pics, but he looks corso. Congrats on your rescued baby, our girl is 11 months and around 80 lbs, so the weight seems on.

thanks for the reply. Either way it doesn't matter to me hes a great dog and we love him very much. I grew up with pitbulls and nothing about him says pitbull to me. His build alone is way different and describes the Cane Corso all the way. But thanks again :)

Mh maybe he's some kind of bandog..There is cane corso in him,for ure..If you have got a frontal phot of him could be easier to tell..He has too much muscles for a purebreed corso but yes it's a beautiful stud indeed:D he is certainly more corso than few dogs that won world titles..Ahahahahahaha :)

Thank you for adopting such a wonderful dog! I can tell by the smile on the little girl's face that it doesn't matter WHAT he is, he is making people happy! I am guessing Corso something mix. The snout seems a bit long but that may just be the picture. NOT a pitbull for sure. You have added a deserving member to your family and he will reward you time and time again with smiles and protection.

Thanks. Ive done y research and by the standard his snout Is perfect length. Ive seen Cane Corsos that look just like him and some that look totally different. But like I said we are perfectly happy with our choice. Me and my girlfriend were going to buy from a breeder online because we did want papers and all that. But we decided to check the shelter and it was fate. There he was 8 month old Cane Corso. The owner gave him up saying hes getting to big.....go figure. His loss. But thanks again everyone.

I think he is a corso cross as well. Our male corso was almost 100 lbs at 8 months. He is 110 now at 11 months. The snout looks long to me as well. The breed standard will give the measurements for an adult dog, and they grow until 2 years old. So if his snout is as long as the standard says now, it will get longer when he is fully grown. But he is cute!

Well, it doesn't give lengths. It says how long and wide the muzzle should be compared to the head and he lines up perfect. He actually follows all standards for CC to the tee. But I do appreciate your opinions. Like I said theres no way to tell either way. thanks all
