Puppy food

What have others used for puppy food?
I'm feeding Mo, Acana puppy food for large breed dogs but he has very loose stool(bordering on the runs).
Can anyone recommend another good quality puppy food that they have used. I know a lot of people are going the RAW food route but I don't think that it will work for us.

We are using Earthborn holistics grain free and Vader is doing great on it. (He is 6 months)

Earthborn Hollistics Primitive Natural is what I feed and I love it. His poops are firm and regular. The kibble size is relatively small which he loves and its nice and oily. I originally started with Orijen and when Claymore would eat it he looked great, but it was always a struggle with lots of toppers.

The pet store lady did inform me that Earthborn is family owned and has never had a recall. I thought that was pretty neat.

We also use Earthborn Holistic Coastal Catch. We recently bought the bison flavored one as well, but I haven't opened the bag. I will mix them together.

since you have puppies you must opt for best puppies food. There are variety of dog food available in the market. but the best for your puppies is to take advice from the vet or you may take suggestions from any puppies owner as well.

I think taking advice from a vet isn't the best idea, a lot of them recommend science diet or eureka... I currently feed my pup blue wilderness for large breed puppies, but I will be switching to earthborn holistic when I'm almost done. If you search other threads on here, a lot of people recommend it...

We have started using "Fresh Market" for large breed puppies. Seems to be working out quite well. Stool is normal and he's happy as can be.

I agree with Abel, vet is not a reliable source regarding dog food because they are paid by dog food companies, like Science Diet, to push their food. People think that a vet recommends it so it's good. That is far from the truth.
