Puppy Buyer Etiquette

I'm nto a breeder, but I read it anyway :)
I think I pretty much agreed with all the point, and the whole "Every Breeder Knows Every Other Breeder" thing made me laugh. Seriously. I look like an idiot sitting at my work computer making snrk sounds.

For the most part it is a good article :) I remember being on the buying side of things and there are some good things to try and remember when buying a puppy. There are also some good points from the breeder side of it as well. You would not believe how many people get "ticked off" because they can't chose their own puppy :( I won't tell you how many people wanted one or the other of the males, both of which were already spoken for (both of which I would not send to a first time home just because they weren't that laid back) and chose to go to another breeder to get what they wanted.

She is right thought that the breeding community is small and generally we do all talk and know things ;)

I agree with this posting 100% especially with the wait. I contacted the breeder I was interested in about two years a head of time to "get to know them."
