puppy biting

now thats the key! my breeder's corsos are like that as well. if he tries to stick his arm in Rocco's dad's mouth, he will turn his head. I dont know what to do because i've tried the leave the room, the redirect, every toy in the store, and even the time-out method but he still bites my feet and hands...:( i might just try this hold his jaw method. last resort is a chain
Another thing you can try is a stick of butter. Put it in the freezer, so it does not get to soft, and smear a little on your hand. This will result in licking and praise for that. I know they have a tendency to start nipping when you have nothing in the immediate area to re-direct them, but it might be worth a try.

I have a Bella too who is 10 weeks and you took the words right out of my mouth.... She loves toes and to bite playfully... More so with my sons but they weren't around this week and she tried it with me jumped on my leg and started biting at my sweat pants.. I don't play those type of games, so I sternly tell her no and try to calm her, but she's only 16lbs what's going to happen at 110lbs?

Rocco is responding well to leaving the biting play, he also does well with replacing my hand with his toys (rope) and when he is good i reward him with treats, he is 16 wks now and it is getting better!

Daisy has puppy enthusiasms including being mouthy when she first greets me when we let her out of the kennel. Unfortunately there are three little ankle biters jumping around too. I can ignore the little ones but I have to put Daisy into a SIT or she will knock me down. Once she has her butt on the floor I am able to greet her without the nips. It helps control
My puppy seems to enjoy biting more as he got older and more into his adolescence stage-when he was a young pup I was hoping it was a teething thing. Now at 9 months old he especially likes to bite me when I first get home when he is going his whole “excited to see me routine†instead of licking- and when he wants to play he likes to try to bite my pants- and a few times has bitten me while trying to do this and caused me to bruise :-/
I just tell him to stop and try to redirect.
I am praying this latest phase will end.
