      There's a UK based forum which is called the saint Bernard sendboard which is quite friendly an there is good facebook page which I could invite you to if you want. The way to research the breed that worked best for me was to contact a few breeders, most are decent people and will advise you or tell you where your nearest show is so you can check them out yourself (just keep in mind that breeders by definition are enthusiastic about the breed and may be a little biased).
