Pet car restraint safety study - not such good news

Thanks for sharing
But I have to completely agree with them
Dogs bodies can move so much in a vehicle harness
I prefer crating my dogs and tying down the crate better they bounce around in a small environment and get a broken leg then to panic and start thrashing around and hurting themselves as well as the human(s) in the vehicle

So a dog seatbelt protects the dog & humans about as much as an unrestrained dog and may actually be more dangerous to the dog. Scary. I wonder if anyone has tested the car barriers to see if they actually parent an unrestrained fog from entering the passenger area.

I saw this article awhile ago; very disappointing. I was all set to get restraints for all the dogs, & get a smaller car that would not handle crates. Oh well; guess it's still a van for me.
