Outdoor dog show in the heat

Ssoooo. Apollo and I are scheduled to hit a dog show tomorrow. Its an outdoor show.....and its supposed to hit 90.....already planning to spend the time between rings in the car wasting gas so I can run the AC, and seriously considering not going at all for all that the car's basically loaded with everything to go. Whats the procedure if I decide after the breed ring that we're not staying due to the heat? Can I just not show up for the group ring or do I need to advise someone? Its gonna suck to drive two hours to trot around the breed ring, win no points cause he's the only TM there and then turn around and go for another two hour drive home, but damned if I'm going to make him suffer 90 degree temps outside if it really is that bad.

I suppose it could be worse, they're predicting scattered thunderstorms and Apollo's a mud magnet....

I would stay home.

Athena acts like she's going to die when the temp is in the high 60's. I think she would just melt in 90* weather.

Just post some pictures and we'll judge him for you. You can accumulate coveted 'forum points.'

Well, we went, but came home after the breed ring. He managed the heat ok, but dispite the tent it was way hot, and the rings were mostly in the sun.

Unfortunetly there's not alot of matches around me, so its shows. One day is only $30, so its not bad cost wise, just frustrating to be the only TM again....
