Neck growth after 7 months old

My Baby just turned 7 months old. He's not a very big boy, he had Parvo at 4 months old and already was smaller before he got it. I want to get him a fancy new collar but I'm not sure about sizing. I'm probably thinking I should wait, but did your dogs neck really change that much? I measured him at about a 21 or 22 and he weighs about 85ish I am thinking. His mommy is about 120 and daddy is 153. I am thinking he will be around 120-130ish. I tried on my 130 pound Rottweilers collar last night and it fits on the tightest setting, I'm just not sure how much more he will grow. Hes almost one of the smallest in his litter. Maybe he will catch up to the others, its so hard to know.

When I got my first EM I went out and bought the biggest blue collar I could find in Petsmart with excitement and anticipation. He didn't outgrow it until He was almost 3 years old. At first it was a little big on him but it didn't stay that way for very long lol. Dunno if that helps or not, but I was happy to share the memory lol.

He's probably got a LOT of growing to do. Sunny, aged 10, has a 27" neck; Ruby, aged 5, has a 28" neck; Cobi, aged 11 months, has a 25/26" neck. Cobi can wear some of our good leather collars on a tight fitting, but I still won't get him one of his own, he's till got a lot of growing to do. I'm afraid he'll be even bigger than Ruby when he fills out.

Wait until he's 2 yrs old. Until then just buy ones that don't cost an arm and a leg like from stillwaterkennelsupply. Email or facebook them the color/type/size you want and they will make it for you.

Yeah, wait. Ella's neck still grew after she hit 2 yrs old. Not so much that I couldn't buy her a good collar though. Just had to have some adjustment room.

Yeah I'd say at 11 months def has some filling out to do. My lil Roxy is barely beginning to start filling out at 10 months (9 more days til it's official). Her neck is so skinny that she is wearing a collar that my (bless her soul, R.I.P.) rate terrier used to wear. I can tell she is widening especially in the chest and the head now. Neck and hips will soon follow suit I'm sure.

I've got an EM and his neck is still growing at almost 4 years old. My advice is to wait at least a year as he could surprise you as to how big it can be.
