Just checking! Do you have pics of him? His size sounds fine. These guys can grow for at least the first 2-3 years of life and slow, steady growth is crucial for his growing joints and bones.

My ddb, who is now 4 months, was 15 lbs at 11 weeks. Every dog is differently depending on their lines in how they grow. Don't stress out about weight, just make sure that they are healthy. You want slow steady growth to avoid issues later on. :)

Wait until he gets to be about 6 months old, your gonna look at him and say "What the hell happen to you" Rosie is 7 months and I want to hide her in a closet,I laugh at her almost everytimeI look at her.

This is very interesting, my breeder did say she has big puppies, but being my first DDB I guess I didn't realise, my boy is 8 weeks old and is just over 16lbs, both his mother is very big compared to other girls I've seen and his dad is 170 lbs.

Your boy sounds like mine, at 11 weeks Vader was 16.6 pounds and now at 14 weeks he is over 20. I know my breeder said not to worry too much, one of their adult males was always the smallest and as an adult he is now the biggest. Good luck with his surgery, keep us posted.
