More Rhaegar!

This morning we went to a new spot, Providence Canyon State Park. The canyons were actually created by erosion due to poor farming practices in the 1800s. It was a pretty cool spot to explore around, although it was WAY too hot and humid today. Where is winter?

What a very interesting place to go hiking. Awesome photos! Glad some of us don't have too many issues posting them. How specifically are you viewing and posting? My fav photo this time I think is the one of the paws in the sand. Is the one on the right a raccoon(or some other animal) or a doggie? lol

I've just been uploading them to photobucket, then copying the IMG link to the right side of each photo and pasting them into the body of the message. One time it told me I had inserted too many of them, so I've just limited them to 10 or less per reply, and it hasn't really given me any trouble....thankfully! What would I do if I couldn't post photos of my dogs?! Lol. I think the paw print is most likely raccoon, or possibly opossum. I just thought it was neat right next to Mazey's foot print. There were TONS of deer prints too. Thankfully hunting isn't allowed in this park, so we didn't have to worry about that.

Wow. Absolutely beautiful. I want to be one of your dogs and go to these places.
Haha, sorry, the inn is full at the moment! Unfortunately, I'm about to leave my equine critical care block (where I've had mostly night shifts) and move to ophtho. That means I'll be leaving the house in the dark, and coming home in the dark most days, so our adventures will be limited to the weekends again. :(

Why do they wear a best ?
For various reasons for each of them. For Rhaegar, I've walked him on this front attaching harness for a long time, and he walks wonderfully on it. He also has a surprisingly sensitive trachea, and starts coughing and gagging when he puts even the slightest pressure on his flat collar. I also just like having a harness on dogs while we're out hiking. One time I had to haul Rhaegar out of a creek with a steep bank by his harness before when he managed to get himself stuck and couldn't scramble back up. Mazey (the pit bull in the red harness) is 10 years old and has elbow arthritis and also had knee surgery earlier this year. Because of this, I don't allow her to jump over high objects, jump up into or out of the car, push herself too hard, etc. I use the harness with the handle to help her out. Bitsy (the chihuahua in pink) has a mild collapsing trachea, so a flat neck collar isn't the best idea with her. Atlas (the brindle mutt in the green pack) is just wearing a backpack to carry water and snacks for everyone. He has the most energy and is the most resistant to the effects of the heat and humidity, so he gets to wear the pack, lol. Otherwise, he does fine with just a flat collar on our regular walks.

Hmm. What windows version and browser are you using? Or you on a mac or something? The Img link hasn't been working for me without me modifying it myself manually. I'm on windows 7 with a chrome browser. Just curious sorry for derailing the thread. We should all know by now that is my specialty. Thanks for all the Rhaegar! I really look forward to his adventures with all his friends. I like to pretend my dogs are walking in beautiful places but usually it's around the neighborhood and that's it. lol

I'm on Windows 7 using Firefox. And I just had to google how to find out what windows versions I'm using.......so definitely not computer savvy, lol! And don't worry, my dogs don't appreciate beautiful places. As long as they get some off leash roam time, they don't give two craps about where it takes place, haha.

The only off leash roam time mine get is in a 1.5 acre yard. They love to fence fight the goats and pigs, though I don't allow them to bark, they still charge up and down the fence posturing lol.

Last week, it was ALL about the pig. Rhaegar played with the pig, ate with the pig, slept with the pig. This week, it's all about Mr. Turkey. Piggie who??
