  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

More puppy pictures.

Is it my imagination or does the tan on her legs appear 'cleaner' than before? She's adorable, love the leaf pic!

Yes, I'm thinking it might have just been the lighting in the older picture. Her head is really multi-colored. I'm assuming that will just turn black as she gets older. Is that how that works?

She's doing great.

She hates having a leash. She wants to dig my shaggy rug up. She doesn't come when we call her. She only wants to eat her food if we put it on the floor and she hates all treats. She likes laying on the cold, wet concrete steps.

She's perfect!

We have managed to take our puppy out every day since we got her. She's been to Lowe's, the pet store, checked in at the vet, met most of the neighbors, sold Girl Scout cookies... Athena loves everyone and is happy to ignore other dogs. She's not fully immunized yet so we don't want her interacting with too many strange dogs. Also, she loves cooked chicken breast. I think she might be starting to think her name is chicken.

She is a total people-magnet. My daughter said we should just make little fliers to hand out because everyone asks about her. We had one guess at Saint Bernard puppy and one Mountain Dog/GSD cross. Both reasonable guesses considering she's a relatively rare breed. We've already gotten several comments about how well behaved she is for a puppy. Mostly because she's so mellow.

While we were out, we saw a family walking a Irish Wolfhound and an EM pup. Those people have their hands full.

Yah, I get St Bernard cross as a guess all the time. It makes sense. So does Swiss Mountain dog cross actually. Big and fluffy, and a breed no one's heard of lol.

You will get the strangest guesses. I've had Newf, GSD cross, LONG HAIRED ROTTY!!! Bernese Mountain Dog. All sorts, in fact I started a thread on it a while back, its amazing what some folks will think she is. Glad she is doing so well and it sounds like you are doing a superb job with her. :D

Apollo was 52lbs at 19 weeks, so she's a bit smaller (and she may hit her growth different from him), but she looks awesome. Can you feel her ribs at all?

Yes, I can feel her ribs. She doesn't eat much. I think her bone structure is more in line with a big dog; she's broad and her legs are big.

Should I try and get her to eat more? She's never had a really high food drive so I figured I should just let her eat at her own pace.

I tried to find a growth chart for a female TM but had no luck. I'm not sure how closely they follow the males because the males end up a lot larger.

I don't, unfortunetly, Mooshi's Mummy might.

They are horrid eaters. Apollo DROVE ME NUTS. Still does occasionally.

She is gorgeous! I love the one of her sitting on the cat. The cat does not look amused.

She is gorgeous and looks a good size to me, she still has a lot of knuckle to grow in to. I dont have a growth Chart for Moo sorry!! If I remember rightly Mooshi was about 20-22kg at that age so you are not far off. Mooshi is very heavily boned though. And yeah TM's drive you crackers with their eating habits, or lack of them. Mooshi is going through a 'feed me' stage at the moment where she is actually asking for food, I give it to her because I know its not going to be far off where I will be lucky if she eats 1 full meal a day!
