Last week we found a frozen mouse carcas on our front deck. Yesterday I happened across two more lying in the snow. They don't look chewed, more crushed, and I am quite sure my Leo is responsible. I was wondering if I should be worried about Leo having these animals in his mouth, and if there is something I should be doing besides the usual vaccinations and teleworkers.

My wife and I saw Leo fly by our window at full speed. He stopped on a dime, and was going full speed back the other direction, and continued zig zagging for around a minute. Looking back, he was probably on the hunt for Mickey Mouse. If nothing else they are giving him a nice work out right? Probably not the best type of workout for his young joints, but puppies will be puppies.

He is starting to look more mature, but he still for sure still has his puppy look.

Good question - my boy is a mouse killer as well. Thank God he doesn't eat them...but I do worry about he catching something

I had the same concerns about my boys and had a lengthy discussion with my vet. I am very conscious about vaccination schedules and stick to them, I also get 3 bordatella's yearly instead of the routine one and a booster. My vet said that as long as I keep up vacs and wormer not to worry about the other animals. I have horses, chickens, cats, field mice (ick), etc. Somehow Cruiser always seems to find dead bodies left as gifts by my cat.

Good Dog!! Earning his keep, eh?? :) I wouldn't worry about it, much... if you find he's picking up any worms from the mice, you could put him on a DE (diatomaceous earth) regimen. That's supposed to do the trick.

Leo is an awesome looking boy. Sounds like he has found himself some really cool new toys. Growing up I had a German Shepard/Lab that kept killing rabbits. There was never a scratch on them..she either trampled them or ran them to death. The funniest part was that she was confused as to why they wouldn't move anymore.
