Mastiff x breed. Help please. Opinions.

Hi, this is my very first post on here!

We have had our lovely doggo, Romey since November.
He was a rescue and had previously been very mistreated. We took him in with a 4 year old child and a cat - after lots of hard work and training he has made a great addition to our family.

We were told by the rescue he was a Mastiff x. We can' work out what Mastiff and what X he may be.

It really does not matter to us because we love him regardless but me and my partner bicker about his breed all the while. We will have a DNA done, we would love to be able to have some further insights into his breed traits which would be the reason for this.

Any ideas on what Mastiff he could be or what he is crossed with?

At the moment he weighs around 35kg. Quite lazy at home but loves a walk. Chews everything he can find up, apart from our furniture thankfully. Rarely barks - just at the door. A huge couch potato.

I think he has Tossa appearance similarities but they are very rare here in the UK so unlikely to be that.

Any suggestions I'd be grateful for

No way of telling unfortunately. There is no real insight without the DNA test. Anything else are just pure guesses. Also no way of telling how many breeds are in the mix too. The DNA results are always shocking.

Thanks for the messages. Id never even thought of corso. Literally just tosa or English!! We Initially thought lab X but think we are swaying towards more Mastiff X Rodesian Ridgeback.
