Looking to adopt EM near Portland, Oregon

We have owned 4 English Mastiffs over the last 22 years. Last month, "Moose" died very suddenly at the early age of 6 and we are looking to open our home to another sweet Mastiff.

Sorry to hear of your loss of Moose.

I believe Oregon Mastiff Rescue has some dogs available near you. I have not dealt directly with them but they do seem like a good organization.

Zsa Zsa came home on Sunday. I took Monday off work to help get her settled in. We had great fun yesterday exploring the woods and generally bonding. It was really hard for ZZ's foster mom to give her up, and we can now see why -- ZZ is a total love bug with excellent manners.

Congrat! We have adopted older dogs in the past and they've brought us alot of joy over the years. We just purchased an EM puppy this time around as emotionally are kids were having a hard time when the others passed. We are just across the river in Vancouver, WA!

Congrats to you on the new puppy! Which breeder did you use? We got "Moose" (in my avatar) from Stonehaven Mastiffs in Sandy, but there are several breeders in the area.

Aww sweet grey lady! My first EM was very grey in the face like Zsa Zsa.

We were going to purchase from Stonehaven and we were approved for their waiting list but we decided to go with NW Mastiff- Stonehaven was charging $2000.00 and they were further from our home- NW Mastiff was in Washougal and they were charging $1500.00- We were looking for a family pet so it made more financial sense for us to go with the lower price- I called NW Mastiff's vet and got a reference from them- Ashley and Jarom have been totally awesome throughout our ordeal- We went to their place met all the parents and decided to put a deposit down- we were able to get first pick- Every email I have sent them they have responded to- We've been thrilled with our little guy!
