Wow! I had forgotten just how sickly Kismet was. The top picture was the first meal she had with us. She had been with us for about 6 weeks already but because of the mange and how sick she was. She had to be quarantined away from the other dogs and the vet said to keep her crated. She needed sleep and food, she was only allowed out to go potty. In the top picture she only weighed 21 or 23 pounds. The second picture is almost a year later. She weighs in at a nice 60 pounds.

I can never express the appreciation I feel for some of the members of this forum without their sage advise and exuberant encouragement it would have been a much harder road. I have always thought of Kismet as the forums dog.

Thanks QY! Personally, I don't like her looks but her personality is over the moon. She is a total sweetheart.

Amazing transformation, ab---congrats to you and Debra for saving her, bringing her back to health and the dog she was meant to become. :)

What is her personality like these days?

NY, she is amazing. She is so happy and so loving. She has put a spark in this "old" house. When she is a sleep, you know she has a bad stretch of life. She has terrible dreams where she twitches, shakes and growls a low guttural sound. However, when she is a wake, she is a well adjusted, carefree pup.

Kismet looks marvelous and loved. It's odd, but I started thinking about her yesterday while I was in the shower. Lol. Kind of goofy. Thank you for posting an update.
