We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

I've failed

Thank you everybody for your insights and help. We went on our first muzzled walk today and he generally tolerated it, though muzzles instantly make him look like he's just popped a hundred xanax, he just kind of lumbers along moping like crazy. I had ordered a Dean & Tyler sunday night immediately after the incident but I think its a little big so I'm going to move one size down. I think its the same one that you ordered Ruth, and I'm optimistic he'll take to it.

Yah, Arty gets grumpy about his still, but he's getting used to it. But then I've also not had the same drive to make sure he's used to it quickly either. Patience!

Gah, we've been taking Lambeau to trainers around SF but I've been so upfront about Lambeau (as I would imagine I should be) and then everybody meets him and they try to do the dog trainer thing of ignoring him or acting like he's not there so that makes Lambeau uneasy, but basically he's just lain at my feet when we've talked through the issues and while everyone says his bites haven't been bad they say its a progression and now he's an adult and I should just put him down and thats that. I can't and won't do that. Anybody know of any Norcal trainers, or again any people in a rural setting who would give love to an amazing puppy? IMG_0760.jpg

Hmmm, there are several TM breeders in Cali, have you tried talking to any of them to see if they can point you to a trainer?

and no, its not a progression, at least not with a TM, urg.....2 is the correct age for him to be coming into his adult temperment and he perceived a threat. If nothing else I'd suggest contacting a couple of the Fila owners here, I don't think any of them are local to you, but Fila's are stranger aggressive and require managing around strangers, much like the harder tempered TMs can. Dogman, ChuckOrlando, or Angelbears. They can give you a run down of how they manage their Fila's in a public setting, and at home with guests, and maybe you can adapt that to how you manage Lambeau?

I'll definitely do that, thanks Ruth! His DT muzzle arrived yesterday and it fits perfectly and we'll use it whenever we may be around strangers.

great looking dog!! There are people that deal with this in urban environment but it is a bit of work and care to protect people and yourself from a unfortunate accident. by all means keep talking here and if it gets too stressful or not something to continue with I am sure someone here can help you find a new home for your guardian.
