The biggest thing is his drive. But I hope you come out.

That's what I worry about - he doesn't have much prey drive well he does but a flirt pole or throwing a piece of fur around is not going to bring it out, especially when he's in a new environment. I got work this sunday - it's going to be awhile before I can I think - damn work! He likes to track and definitely has defensive drive. I just want to build his confidence and bring his obedience to another level.

As long as your dog is prey driven, you can use whatever object to promote it. I hope you make it out.

Great looking fellow, out of curiosity did you plan to SCH with him prior to the purchase..? Did you take anyone to evaluate the littler before picking the pup, as I'm thinking I may?

I have a understand of what to look for but trust a frew breeders of working lines more than I'm interested in ending up with a issue later on ie: a bag of nerves.

I'm currently in the process of debating gsd/mal vs looking for a high drive EM/Mastiff.. just as I assume you are with your CC I'm partial.

Wanted to post some pics from yesterday.

Honestly with my pup I got very lucky. He has a great genetics with one of the most titled Corso 2 generations back. He is very stable and loves to work. It is hard to find a Corso with the craziness and drive if a mal or GSD. But there are some great working breeders in the east coast or in Europe. I am looking at one in Europe now to get a female in a year+.

Yes I did plan in doing Schutzhund prior to him, but as I said from day one he was a very confident dog who loved to play. I have videos at 8 weeks old playing tug with me and even with my other dog too.

I will be posting some video today from yesterday's session.
