Update

Yesterday was a very long day. From fresno to San Diego and back in the same day to pick up our new boy. But he is awesome!

It was also a long night with the new pup in his crate trying to train him. Lots of whimpering and crying but he finally slept until about 430am when he needed to go to the bathroom. I'm hoping he's gonna be ok in his crate tomorrow while we are both at work. I will be coming home on my lunch to check on him.

Ill get pics up soon!

Also, does anyone have links or tips for taking care of his cropped ears? The breeder told me a few things when I picked him up but one of the ears kinda came loose from the cup between them. Should I try to retape it or leave it?

See how the cup isn't in e center and his left ear isn't on the cup that much? Should I fix that?

I hope someone replies to your post today. I have no experience with cropped ears. :( I'd call the breeder.

I ended up calling the breeder and he said tape it so I did and fixed it, now the cup is centered. The ears seem to be healing nice.

We ended up naming him atlas. We got our 3 year old son involved and that's what he wanted to name him.

Congratulations! Did Rich have his regular vet do the ears? The vet he uses for all of his dogs does a fantastic job with the Corso crop...perfect bell, not too long, not too short. He looks like a Campo CC for sure. Is he developing cherry eye, or does it just look that way in the pic?

Yes rich had his vet in Vegas crop the ears. He sold me on it for the reasons you said, plus I didn't wanna mess with it. There's only one guy out here that does it and he's super old and I don't think he has any cc experience. I don't think it's cherry eye, just the angle of the pic and his droopy extra skin on his face lol. I hope it's not cherry eye...

It's a vet hospital I took him to. They are keeping him there to treat him. I called my breeder while I was there and he gave them his credit card number for the bill. I'm waiting on a call to see what's going on.

Oh no!! Are they going to hospitalize him?

Yes he's there now being treated. Waiting on a call...

Poor baby. Keep us updated on what the vet says. The breeder probably needs to notify any owners that bought puppies from him that might have been exposed. He'll want to test any pups that he has in his possession if they start showing symptoms. Most likely he was exposed prior to coming home with you

No other pups from that litter have been given to new homes he still has them and says they are doing fine. Mine was the only one that he gave the third set of shots to before he brought him to me. Him and his vet think its a false positive since the other pups are doing fine. They also said it doesn't help that he had those shots, is on antibiotics, and has been stressed from being in cars for a few days since the shots. I dunno what to think...

What a sad news on such a happy moment, good thing you had a good and honest breeder. Best wishes.

Thank you

Did your vet say if it was a strong or weak positive? Parvo has a very distinct smell so if he was vomiting or had diarrhea you'd be able to tell from the smell

They said it was strong but he only had one diarrhea poop and that was this morning. I wasn't interested in smelling it lol. He didn't vomit much. He acted like he wanted to but nothing would come up except some bile since he hadn't eaten or drank anything.

Hmm...yeah it's a strange smell. I can't quite describe it. My parents lab mix had parvo as a puppy. She was non stop vomiting & having diarrhea & very lethargic. She fought hard & was released after a 10 day stay. I hope you don't go through that with your pup. He's in good hands & it's commendable that your breeder is covering the charges. Parvo treatment can get very expensive very fast.
