How long should it take for cropped ears to stand up?

My guy is 14 weeks old and I was just wondering how long the whole process takes for them to stand up appropriately. Solo got his done at the appropriate time from the breeder. Also is there something I should be doing to help them stand up? I rub them at night ect.

When you take posts out do they stand right? If not keep posting. Can you post more pictures? I only had to post for about 2 weeks after stitches removed on both ears and another week or so on one ear that was being stubborn. How long do you leave the posts in? As you can tell im a firm believer in posting up ears and not letting them "try" to stand on there own. Some do stand eventually on there own but personally not worth the risk of spending money on cropping or buying a dog with fresh crop and not getting them to stand.

His ears were never posted. They aren't a long enough crop for that.

We haven't had an issue with ears standing on most of our dog, we have two pup with longer ears that needed to have one ear each posted but for the most part we have not had to. A lot can depend on how they ears were treated, I find the ears that are held up over the head after a crop tend to stand up a little faster. How long ago were the ears done? Also is your puppy teething? I know some that posts from the start, needed or not and that is fine. We tend to try to let them on their own and if that doesn't work then we will start to post for 4 to 6 days at a time.

My 7 month old male ears are still not standing on their own. Im trying a new method of taping today to try and get them standing. Also, you pup is going to be teething till at least 6 -7 months old. As they are teething, their cartiledge in their ears stays soft. After teething, theoretically they are supposed to start standin. My pup has been done teething for a month now and they are still floppy. So, long story short, your prolly going to be dealing with floppy ears unless you tape them now and mold them early. The technique could be found on my thread by another memeber, its the 7 month old 100 lb thread. I used 5/8 backer rod but if your pup is still small then u can use 1/2. The backer rod was very easy to find in the windows and door section of home depot or any hardware store. Im also using Mueller Athletic coach tape to tape them. Hope this helps!

My pups ears stood about 3 days after the stitches came out. They still are a work in process as I waited about 3 weeks after they came out to start posting(my pup still had some scabbing due to him scratching so I wanted to make sure they were fully healed before posting.)

For them to stand you don't need to post(I had the 3rd longest crop done so you should be even better). I just do the posting to give em a nice perfect shape.

I see that his ears are standing well now. what did you end up doing? did you post and if so for how long and
using what method? our puppy is 10 weeks old and had his ears done a week ago and we want to get them to stand as quickly as possible.
