How long should a female wait after a litter before being appraised???

Hello all,
I've heard of female dogs being appraised pretty low right after having a litter. Although their condition is understandable (teets, extra weight, etc). They just don't look their best. Would you recommend waiting until she has returned to form?

Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

Jim

Her back will sag and her muscles will not be in good condition and she may be overweight too. But SABT does not care if the dogs are fat, but I would wait a few months.

My friend is super happy. She just passed!!!! I believe she would have gotten a better appraisal is she was in top condition but she got better then the 75 needed. So Dallas' registration/birth certificate will be on its way shortly!!!!!

The carriage was def before the horse on this one, but everything is falling into place :)
