Growth after11 months?

I just bought a new house with some acreage for the girls to run in. With the land though, I am not going to be able to let them out at lunch, so I am putting in a dog door.

Now for the question. How much do Danes normally grow after 11 months? I am planning on a couple inches, but don't want to replace the whole door if I guess low.

Hello and welcome, nice to meet another Dane owner. Typically danes reach their "true" growth between 12-18 months when the bones begin to permanently fuse. However there are danes that can continue growing until up to 24 months and beyond depending on the line. Though 24 months there are starting to fill out and gain mass. 11 months they are still growing but you don't notice the growth as much as it slows tremendously.

Mason is still growing like a weed at 5 months and will be taller than my other boy Stone. Stone pretty much stopped at 10 months with a few growth spurts here and there. He is 15 months now and has gotten an inch or so "taller".

I just pet sit for a family with 2 full size shepherds that had access in & out from a giant dog door. It was automated & the dogs wore electronic collars to open the door. This dog door could have easily allowed at least a 200 lb man in & out of it. I can't remember the brand but I know it was huge. I can find out if you'd like

Hello!!! My Dane didnt stop growing till she was about 2yrs old. She is 36 inches at the shoulders and weights 130 lbs.
