I think you do very noble work as well QY10, and very difficult work. I have really tried hard to live by the philosophy that I don't need to be in other people's business, and don't want them in mine. I can't judge someone who lives differently than me because I am not them. I can't process like them or look at things the same. I just try hard to have compassion for those around me and be a bright light for all. I say hi to everyone and good morning and just try to smile at people more. Sometimes all it takes to turn around a person's day is a kind word or gesture.

That truly is awe inspiring QY10. I thank you for your service to the human race. I have family currently living in the streets. I've been there myself. Quite honestly the 2 paycheck thing is very real. The world is as you say and a lot more. If not for people like you there are too many people that would not have even had a fair shake for 2 minutes in their lives. I'm lucky in that my wife is amazing and works with me and my faults. She helps me get to the health professionals I need to and forces me to go when I don't want to. I'm getting to a point now where I can build myself up. You are right though. If a person looks in the mirror and can't even accept themselves or what they've become or happened to be, they have no way of moving forward. Even just clean clothes and a non holy pair of shoes goes a LONG long ways for someone that wouldn't have them otherwise. I believe you are on the right track because without any stability they wouldn't even be able to live proper much less get/keep a job, or have any type of schedule to make it to treatments to get healthier. Thanks for sharing your story. I think we as a species could learn something from it.

EEM, thank you for sharing your story. I love hearing stories of where people have come from and where they are now. It's always very inspiring.

My quote for the day is:

Money is the worst reason to do something and the lack of money is the worst reason for doing nothing.

If you have an idea, or vision. Think of how you can make it reality. Put it out there to the community that you need support and the response you get might be alarming. All it takes is an idea to create something wonderful.

My project, I've got your back, was an idea. I have no funding to create it. I put it out to my community and everyone has rallied together to make it something more than just an idea.

A seamstress donated 4 bolts of water-resistant fleece to me to make blankets for the homeless this winter. No money needed. Just an idea.

Good morning! I am having a lazy morning with Sean and Diesel. Drinking my coffee and Diesel lying by my side on the couch while I run through my wedding venue options for the billionth time. Finally narrowed it down from my original 50 places to 11! Progress! Thinking of hitting up some bridal shops later to check out dresses... but we also have bath day for Diesel today and the pet store to hit up. Busy busy day so for now I am enjoying this peaceful moment.

Technically I am also spending it with Cerberus, but he is busy ignoring all of us and doing his own thing... He is a very independent dog.

Don’t wake up with the regret of what you couldn’t accomplish yesterday. Wake up while thinking about what you will be able to achieve today. :morning:
