  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

For everyone who's considering a TM

Yah. Thats my hope.

Is there any particular brand or type of rake you recommend? I find the cheap Petco one works better than the fancier one I picked up!

I have never met a tm in person :( what is their coat like? Soft?

As a pup their coat is the softest thing you will ever have the pleasure of burying your face in lol. Their adult outer coat is fairly course, the under, winter, coat is really soft though. And Apollo's head is still really soft. Not sure if he'll stay that way or not, but I'll enjoy it while I can.

Why don't you make me a mini Apollo outta all that hair? Then I can say that I've kissed Apollo and don't need reconstructive surgery on my face? Lol

Hah, well if you're ever out upstate NY way, once he decides you're not a threat he'd probly let you lol

The rakes we were using we actually ordered from pet edge but I know they don't carry them anymore. I did see something very similar when I went to the stock show last month. Think they use it on cows & goats.

The pic comes out very small but it has a wooden handle & metal teeth. The only thing I would tell you to be careful using these is they will snag & poke holes in the skin if you push them too far into the coat. But if you are pretty comfortable with using other rakes & just keep that in mind you should have no problem.

I haven't had any issues with the rest of the stuff I've used. I'll poke around. I need to get a new Petco one otherwise, Arty chewed the handle to bits.....

I know furminator makes a rake & from what I've learned using those is they work ok, but any kind of double coats, the teeth are not long enough to go all the way through.

That's why I like those rakes like I posted above. You still kinda have to rake through the hair in sections, but for the most part the teeth are longer than other rakes I've seen & used.

Browsing around, I thoght the number of tools availible for DOG groming was insane, the stuff for show stock grooming is nuts!

Oh yeah!! You would've had a cow (LOL) if you would've seen all the grooming products at the stock show. My mind could not even wrap itself around all the crap they had there!!

Hahaha just pay a kid to brush Apollo for you. The younger they are the cheaper you can probably get out of it ;)
