First day of puppy class

Bob and I made it through the first day of Puppy Kindergarten today! This is a new trainer to me and her style is different than what I'm used to so the little man and I will be learning together. (my former puppy trainer no longer teaches and my training club doesn't start puppies this young)

He did well on the tasks that didn't require a lot of movement LOL! Not so good when he had to follow me around the room. He chose to lie down instead. I'm pretty sure that he's never seen a puppy other than his littermates before so he was really interested in the others at first. I think he enjoyed playtime even though he clearly didn't understand what all the running was about!

He slept like a log on the ride home and now he's sacked out in his crate. Poor guy is exhausted!

The little man is STILL napping! Who knew that lying down for treats was so tiring??

How old is your little guy? I'm looking forward to getting started with puppy class when Winston is up to date on shots.

Same here, although I'm worried by the time he's done with them, he'll be 3 times the size of all the other puppies in the class and they won't want to play with him.

Bob started class at 11 weeks old. He'll be just at 4 months when we finish which is perfect because he needs to be that age to start Basic Obedience.

Funny that it's Bob that doesn't want to play with the other puppies! All that running tires him out!
