English Mastiff on Craigslist

It's good that they are going to be strict about where he goes but it doesn't take away from the fact that yes they should've done their homework. Wonder what their idea of "decent rehome fee" is.

Honestly though, people say they are going to be "strict" and then go with the first person who writes more than three lines in an e-mail. I've found three dogs off craigslist (my AM, an English Bulldog for my fiancé's parents and a German Shepherd for my parents). Though the people were well meaning, I'm pretty sure my ability to spell correctly and the small amount of knowledge of dogs that I had was enough to convince them I was a good home. None of them required that I even speak to them over the phone nor that I demonstrate any proof of what I was telling them.

Nor did any of them charge ridiculous rehoming fees that would show they were "in it for the money." They just were tired of their dogs and wanted to get rid of them for all their expressions of caring.

Either that or there are multiple people who want the dog and they flag the ad so no one else can respond. When I got an English Bulldog for my fiancé's parents people flagged the ad like crazy. Lily was free to a good home, but people still flagged her in order to prevent other responders.
