I don't think you will be getting a puppy either. I always ask for a classic car. I am not too picky on the actual car but there are a few eras that are a must. I will take any cars from several eras. LOL. Every birthday, valentine's day, christmas and mother's day I ask for one and I still haven't gotten one. Sigh.
As for a dog, I would never ask for a puppy, even playfully, or I would find one under the tree. My husband can't say no to puppies. Actually, when we went to meet some English Mastiffs, while I was still trying to convince him this is the breed for us, there was one puppy left from a litter the breeder had on the ground. He tried to talk me into bringing the puppy home. It was tempting but I told him no. We were not getting a puppy yet. A year later, we put a deposit down on a puppy and he said it was the longest wait he had ever had for a dog.
