Deer

I had one run in with deer where the deer ran across the road and clipped the back of my car, sending the car fish tailing. Managed to get it under control got home and inspected the bumper only to find a tuft of fur in between the back bumper and the fender. No street lights and fog equal really crazy driving conditions.

A few weeks later I was leaving late with a friend from the research lab and as we pull out of the parking lot the only road leading in was covered with deer. Just standing there staring back at us. Creepy! We honked the horn, no response from them, they just kept standing there. I was beginning to imagine that they were going to just rush the car and bash us in. Suddenly one of our friends in a big pick up pull up behind us and honks and they all scatter. Respect the big pick up! This was all in Northern California, here in Southern California the biggest thing I can run into on the street is a coyote.

I've seen a picture circulate around the Internet (not sure if it was real) that showed a deer or what was left of a deer get completely sucked up into the engine of a vehicle.

With the plate, I am going to guess the autobahn? With the speeds of 100+mph I could see that happening :p. I hit one with an 18-wheeler at 65mph and it was only a bump and little dent in the bumper. I had one come of a hill and run into the rear-passenger car door once. :D Here in the spring we have herds of 30+ deer in the fields. They are nice to see and hunt.

When I was 17 my dad and I were coming back from hunting and there was a Doge Ram infront of us and it was dark. He was going approx 110 km/hr and a deer ran out infront of him...all I can tell you is that he did not even tap the break and all I saw was a deer flying through the air and land in the ditch on the other side of the road. Dad and I stopped to make sure the deer was dead and unfortunatly it was not and we had to put it down ourselves and call fish and wildlife. Poor thing had broken legs and giant gashes across its body.

The truck never even stopped but I am assuming he had very little if any damage.

I see their dead bodies all over the road mostly intact so I guess it can't all that bad, then some I see look like a crime scene.

I'd be pissed but I would deal with this though.
