Cianna got her RL1 with placements in each run!! I was so proud of her. After we got the RL1, we tried for our first leg in level two, but didn't qualify because Cianna didn't take the jump which was partly my fault. My friends GSD also trialed! So proud of my girl.

Woops, meant to say what it was in the post, it is Rally Obedience Level 1 in APBT Rally. In AKC, it would be the RN, Rally Novice. APBT is very similar to AKC Rally.

I'm ignorant to all this stuff, too. What's the point of all of it? Fill me in, please?

Thank you!!! She has her BH, she will go for her IPO 1 in about another year. She is ready with her tracking and obedience. But really is lacking in experience in protection, she has hardly had any. She is just getting on the sleeve, learning the bark and hold, and taking first stick hits. Doing well, but with so little experience, I think it's best to wait. I have some pictures I will post of her bite work when I get a chance.

Bh-k9, here is the video of Ciannas BH. I was very happy with her routine, our about turn needed some work, and so do our out of motions and changes of pace. Other then that very happy. I was NOT happy with the reporting in and reporting out, that however is now much better.

Rally is a type of obedience with a course of signs, with obedience exercises to do on them. For example, halt, forward, then halt walk around your dog, etc. It was designed to be an easier form of obedience, and or a segway to obedience. This is World Cynosport Rally, formerly known as APDT Rally. RL1 stands for Rally 1 in World Cynosport Rally.

Nice Work!

Protection is the easiest phase in trialing you will have that no problem..don't be like me, I put so much emphasis on protection not wanting to be embarrassed by a shallow bite, or dog not over the top engaged in decoy/bite that during the bh trial she tried to attack the judge and by standers three minutes into her routine.

We were so concerned with protection points in sch 1 we forgot about getting through the bh first..... Ah so embarrassing bh failing a bh lol

Not gonna lie, I don't understand this stuff (yet!), but DAMN that is a beautiful dog, and a beautiful heel in the second video, and you ma'am are my new role model. That exuberant recall was gorgeous to me. This is the kind of feat I would love to accomplish when all is said and done. Don't know how many pints of blood, sweat, and tears went into this, but it looks like it is all worth while and paid off for you ladies.

I am slow, Cianna probably could have had her 1 by now honestly, but no lol. In obedience and tracking we will definitely be ready for our clubs trial in the fall if they have it. MAYBE protection, I'm not sure, she just hasn't had a lot of training, like not even once a month, we are finally getting in once a week now with a very good helper two hours away in PA. So we will see, that is my focus because she is already just about there in the other two fazes. I am hoping to compete at a regional or national level with her all said and done, so I wasn't in a rush with her protection, imo this breed does better when not rushed. They mature slowly, I believe if Cianna had been worked too young, and/ or the wrong way she'd be a monster and would never be able to complete because she would be way too loaded with defense. She's doing very well though, so maybe we will be ready. Was this your CC? I'm still waiting for more info on her btw =).

Thank you so much Siloh!!! I really appreciate it! It was a lot of hard work, but also a lot of fun. I want my dog to enjoy working with me, so even though I wanted damn near perfection, I want my dog to enjoy it to. So a lot of fun, and a little extra work because I don't really do a lot of correction, a lot of play and building drive. There are corrections for Cianna now, but not much. What are you looking to do with your dog?

Hah, nothing in a ring! In my ideal world, Hamlet could do therapy work, specifically with veterans with a broad spectrum of disabilities and needs. So for this I obviously need all kinds of solid proofed obedience as well as potentially some more special skills, like being cued to put his paw or head down on someone and stay. Also obviously I'm looking to foster general stability and calm focus. He actually shows a lot of promise as he has a pretty easy-going, friendly, calm temperament, and he is very tolerant. I'm more worried about MY competence! But just the bond I saw in the video and the absolute eagerness on her part to perform for you was simply beautiful.

Awesome can't wait!! Thank you! Oh okay haha. Where we train, the club members would lose it if Cianna ever did anything like that lol, they already are not huge CC fans. But really really like Cianna!
