From what I have read, the definition of "normal" as a Bullmastiff puppy grows seems to vary based on amount of food, type of food, exercise, environment, heredity, etc. The standard for male Bullmastiffs is 25 to 27 inches in height and 110 to 130 in weight. The standard for females is 24 to 26 inches in height and 100 to 120 lbs in weight. A typical Bullmastiff seems to reach its maximum height around 1.5 years of age. A typical Bullmastiff reaches its maximum weight around 2 years of age. As you can see from my puppy's growth chart above, he has been averaging about 5 lbs a week but then only gained a half a pound one week. I think weight gain will ebb and flow. If you are feeding him well, and he is happy and healthy and the vet says he is healthy, I think that he is "normal". There are others here with more experience than I who will hopefully join in.

Well stated. My girl is much smaller than the weights I see posted here (even given she's female), but the vet says she's healthy and I'm sure her weight/height will vary depending on growth spurts.

Here's my new pup Wilbur, I will be updating him weekly as some of the others have been doing with their pups. I'm also going to add a weekly picture of him next to my 2 year old GSD for comparison.

Its extremely hard to get my puppy to sit still and take this picture by myself. I'm going to have to enlist a helper or work on sit and stay a little more.

You've got a really big boy. Do you know the parent's size? How many were in the litter? 20lbs just seems huge to me for an 8 week old puppy. I see his brother was around the same size too.

Dad was 135lbs and 26 to 27 inches tall. Recently Dad is around 120 to 125lbs.
Mom was 130lbs and 27 inches tall.

Cannot remember how many puppies in the litter. Thinking around 8 or so.

Oh, Ok. I know they all grow at a much different rate. My pup is well below yours at this point on the chart, but both his parents were bigger.
