Breeder Info for Michigan

Several months ago I lost my 12wk old EM pup. The Breeder sold him to me knowing he was sick. At the time, I was unaware of the breed standards and very nieve. I was screwed over. After several attempts and conversations with the breeder...He told me my only option was to buy another pup "at full price". He wouldnt work with me and or offer any discount or replacement. I am now in the market yet again however after losing so much money the 1st time around...I thought I could maybe find a reputeable breeder on here.

I am located in the State of Michigan (near the Ann Arbor-Detroit Metro Area) Does anybody have any info on a trustworthy breeder?

I'm sorry to hear about your puppy.

I haven't met this breeder, but they seem like genuine people, and so it might be worth contacting them and 'screening' them (ask them questions). They seem very serious about helping new people and answering questions. Also ask to visit their dogs. Most breeders seem willing to do that as long as there aren't very young puppies in the home.

You can usually tell when a breeder is going to screw you, but it still happens. You can also go to the breed club website and get the breeder referral from there. I think for the EM one you have to pay $5 but it'd be worth it to find a good breeder. Also can join an EM group on yahoo and see if someone can steer you in the right direction.
