I was part of a conversation with a "vet type" (not sure if this was a tech, or regular vet, or what), the conversation included links to various nutritionists....she basically stated that "well thats nice, but I don't know anything about them to know how to take that" and two paragraphs later stated that there WERE no scientists or REAL nutritionists involved in my side of the argument, anyone who claimed to be was just pocketing all the money given to them....I refuse to have anything to do with her any more. I don't mind discussions, as long as everyone stays polite, but when you're going to jump down my throat for even considering that Hills isn't god, well, I don't have a whole lot of respect for you any more!

Theres a few dudes that I go round and round with from time to time. But like I said, we aint debating at that stage. But on that site it's a bunch of men who happen to be friends and straight shooters. So one guy gets out of line everyone will pounce. And laugh while doing it. Theres a couple women like my wife, but you have to have a high tolerance for testosterone and BS.

In everyday life, I dont deal well with BS.You have a fairly short window to prove your point, if you cant at least peak my intrest, you need not say more

I realise there are different theories as to the best diet for canines, and unless someone is feeding Ol Roy or an equivalent I don't challenge them (unless they ask and seem interested). Similarly if someone challenges me, I just say that my dogs are doing very well on our feeding regimen. I don't feed raw, but I have friends who do. One who dislikes controversy answers questions about feeding, not by saying "raw' which can be like a red cape to a bull, but by describing the contents: Chicken, beef, organ meet, etc etc. Others, who enjoy a good debate and don't care what people think say 'raw'. My observations in comparing my dogs to my 'raw' friends' dogs are that they look a lot leaner for quite a while, but grow very nicely and top out about about the same.
