I added my male EM to the family 9 days ago and the first week went great. The past couple of days my 13 month old Irish Setter has started to show signs of being jealous of the new puppy. Any advice that anyone can give me from their experience would be greatly appreciated.

The only good remedy I know of is time, right now they are figuring everything out. Just make sure the older one doesn't hurt the new pup. As always love seeing pictures. :)

Yeah they need to work it out. Topaz was put in her place quite a few times by Blue (or 8yr old catahoula). We have to keep the house free of bones or toys because of Topaz's possessiveness, but they play hard all day long and sleep with each other all night long now.

Thanks for the response. The weirdest part seems to be that Jiggers gets upset when Kryten's meals are bigger than his. I say this is weird because Jiggers has always followed the Irish setter trend of not wanting to eat to the point that other dogs can just take his food.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1335464796.508140.jpgjust an update. As you can see they get along at least some of the time now. Still a few moments when Jiggers gets upset at Kryten getting 'his' attention.
