A request to breeders about health testing

I'm working on something... Can someone who breeds send me a list of the testing that should done on your chosen Mastiff breed prior to breeding. And I don't mean CHIC minimums (which for EM's is not enough IMO), like a real life list. I already have all the info on Mastiffs (you can see what I'm looking for here: http://gryphonmastiffs.blogspot.com/2012/07/mastiff-health-information-and-links.html). I just need the diseases, I can fill in the description and links to testing.

I need:
Bull Mastiffs
Danes
Tiban Mastiffs
Cane Corso
Boerbel
Neo's
Dogues
Presa
Fila
and any other breed I'm leaving out!

Please and Thank You!

(I don't breed, but we might be allowing Apollo to stud)

TMs:

absolute bare minimum hips and elbows, OFA or Pennhip is fine.

Thyroid should be checked reglarly but most of the community seems to be perfectly ok without actually certifying it with OFA. I'd personally accept a copy of the lab report.

OFA says eyes should be checked too, but again very few actually bother with certification. I'd accept a doctors report again.

Epilepsy has been cropping up in the breed recently, but I'm not aware of a test for it.

For actual breeding dogs regular brucellosis (spelling?) needs to be done, mregardless of breed.

I actually thought about titling the post "breeders or knowledgeable owners" LOL!

Thanks, this is perfect

Will be breeding English Mastiffs but haven't produced a litter yet.

Will be testing

Hips
Elbows
Eye Cerf (Daisy passed her eye cerf by the way!)
PRA DNA Test
Cystinuria
Thyroid
Heart

You can get a test to see if the dog has the fluffy gene but it is not necessary.

Also, if you are breeding, health tests should be done before breeding and both dogs should have had brucellosis testing done. The only time that test doesn't have to be done is if it is the first breeding for both the male and female but then again, I think I would rather be safe than sorry.

Apollo's breeder stated she always requires it period and highly recommended we do the same. Did a quick check and its not horribly expensive, especially in comparison to the rest of the health testing done, so yah, we'll be doing it and requiring it before Apollo will be bred.

My original post was a little vague, let me clarify a bit, this is geared towards puppy buyers - genetic testing that can on parents and grandparents, etc. What I mean is something like Brucellosis is an important test for breeders to do, but won't affect the genetics of the puppy, so I probably wouldn't list it. I'm working with another party to put together this listing for as many dog breeds as possible and I just knew you guys and gals would love to help me on all the Mastiff breeds I didn't know about :). Thanks for the 'so fars' and keep em' coming!

Neo's are (according to a few breeders I know):

Eye Cerf
Hips
Elbows
Heart
Thyroid

There is some debate on the hips and elbows since Neos have very loose hips. They often get lower scores because of this, not because there is hip dysplasia.
