I was just wondering if you all knew when my pup would grow out of his high pitched bark?? He is 6 and a half months old and still has that high pitched pup bark. It is becoming annoying lol Anyways tried to google it and found no info on when his bark will change to an adult bark. Thanks for the Info.

Kryten at 4.5 months already had one of the deepest barks I have ever heard. I don't think I want to hear ifit can get deeper since he already has a deeper bark than a 140 lb king malamute.

I have a female that doesn't bark much at all but whine... OMG the neighbours can hear her if she wants them to. I will try and record it some night. She only does it when I lock her in a crate.

I am with you, Smokeycat! Ruger is 17 weeks and has a seriously deep big boy voice and I can't imagine how it could get any deeper but I now I am thinking about it with this thread....LOL.

Gunner is 11 months and he still gets his puppy bark on, when I leave in the car and I am out of his line of sight! He yelps and cries and has the LOUDEST high pitched bark that people actually are concerned for him!!!

Select some attention after the dog barking, because the only way to them and they can get attention through barking. The more you pay attention to the barking, the more enhanced and behavior. The puppies learn how to get the attention of their mother, when they refuse, they learned that the fastest way to get your attention through by excessive sound. This behavior is not all dog or puppy naturally is learned behavior - because if they are dispensed in the field of noise, then they will get the negative attention from other wild animals.

Kona's a year and has had a big girl bark for months. And a little girl bark from time to time. And a god awfull whine/howl/yawn/bark thing. Loud as loud gets. And you can ignore her till the sun goes away and she'll still be there making that sound

My female English Mastiff just turned 1 year and she does this INCREDIBLY ANNOYING high-pitched bark when she needs attention, such when my GSD is intimidating her, or if she just wants something, such as a bone or petting. Everyone in my family can't stand it, but I am trying to figure out how to stop it without getting angry!!!
Her "warning/protective" bark is a deep, deep, terrifying rumbler, that always takes us by surprise. She sounds like the Balrog!!! No stranger would ever want to encounter her when she barks like that in the dark- it's AWESOME!!!!!

Branka's got a little deeper, maybe around 7 or 8 months? But it's still (14months) WAY higher than my Doberman's bark... He does have a really deep chest though...
