Alek, I know people from all over the world that own Filas in Banned places they get them in by saying they are different breeds when they are pups. You mentioned hound and bulldog type but the ones that are considered bulldoggish in type are also CAFIB like jaguara, jawa, boa sorte etc. just because the dog looks houndy does not make it a CAFIB dog (I dont know where this houndy mess is coming from). The fila is not suppose to look like an English mastiff, great dane or a neopolitan and just because one side has dogs that look like that does not mean that any dog that doesnt look like that looks like a hound and must be CAFIB. There are many non CAFIB dogs that really do resemble hounds, pointer, etc but they have no CAFIB approval and they do have CBKC papers... that makes them a CBKC dog and not a CAFIB dog. I have seen V lips in some CAFIB dogs but that is a fault not a disqualification. You will see it most on the Neopolitancross bred dogs with the huge lips.
