Ok, so my pup is almost 6 months. When I first got him he was on Performatrin (the local pet stores brand) and he seemed to do well on this. I wanted him to be on a higher quality food...so I switched him to Fromm Large Breed Puppy, his stools were suuuper soft and a disaster to pick up (ew) so I then transitioned him to Orijen Large Breed Puppy and his poops are still soft, even liquid-y at times. He's less gassy than on the Fromm but he only has formed stool in the morning, the rest of the day is mud. I went out yesterday and purchased a bag of the Performatrine again and started to transition him back this morning. He was on the Orijen for about a month...maybe 2 and a half weeks on it alone (without the Fromm being transitioned out). Do you think I gave up too quickly? Or could it be that the higher quality food are just too rich for my big mans belly? Any advice would be appreciated!
