When should pano go away?

Athena is limping again. She's had a limp on and off since last August. We've been assuming it was pano because it comes and goes. She's been to the vet for it but hasn't had xrays.

She's almost 19 months old(TM) and I thought she would have grown out of it by now. She goes in to get spayed on Wednesday and I'm going to have the vet take xrays while she's under.

Has anyone had a dog that had pano for this long or should I be worried about something else?

My understanding of pano is that it usually accompanies rapid growth periods. At 19 months I would think that would be over. Since she is going to be under any ways it is great that you are doing the xray!

Apollo kept up noticable growth spurts till he was 2.5. They didn't really affect his height after he was 1or so, so I'd not expect them to cause pano in the dog's limbs (Apollo never had issues with it), but they were noticable. But definetly get xrays done while she's under!
