Just wondering if this little lady needs an increase in her feeding, she is 24lbs at thirteen weeks. I give her 1 1/2-2 cups twice daily.

Thoughts?

Slow and steady is the key to a healthy mastiff. Mastiffs continue to grow until age 2-3 years.

I'm feeding her natural balance sweet potato and chicken.

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and by no means an expert. I've been told by different vets that as long as the weight is appropriate to the height, I should not focus on it (additionally, that's what is says on the breed standards from AKC). Mine was about 30 at 13 weeks and is now 34 at 16.

She's definitely thin in my opinion, I've been trying to get her to eat more. She's more a graiser then my other dog who just polishes off the bowl in 20 seconds.

I like to keep her on the lean side but not to lean.
