I follow a couple rescue groups on FB, and I am amazed at how many "I wish I could, but..." posts are on each and every "please help" post... luckily, the rescue groups are aware of the points in the article, so they word them nicely, more about the story of the pet than any "NEED" requests (although there are a few of those, too).
I'm waiting for my 18 year old cat to kick the bucket before signing up to be a foster... she has enough stress in her life with Denna bugging her.
I thought the article might also point out that sharing "please help" posts on FB for dogs needing homes is counter-productive. They're preaching to the choir... us followers all pretty much already have dogs, and adding another isn't always a good idea - for the dog! I try not to share every puppy post, as my friends would probably block me if I did.
