Update On Spartacus

Spartacus

Well-Known Member
Spartacus went for a checkup and shots this weekend. 12/13 weeks, 21lbs.

We are feeding TOW 1 cup 3 times a day with mixed ground beef (90 lean). Normally goes walks twice a day, one in the morning and one in the evening (about 2-4 blocks). He is fully potty trained, no accidents in the house, knows how to sit and lay also shake with both paws. We are working on having him stay and come, since he still plays dumb like he doesn't know his name.. lol

Any advice or suggestions on what I should be training him or doing at his age would be appreciated.

How is he doing when you are away? Do you crate train him at night?

During the night and day (when no one is home) I leave him in a blocked area in the living room with his crate and some toys. The space is about 10 feet long and 5 feet wide. On one side he has his playing and sleeping area - the other a layer of new paper for him to do his thing. Most of the time when we come home or wake up in the morning the paper is dry and he normally runs straight to the door to go outside.

Spartacus looks great! Regarding additional training, teach him to "look at you/focus", leave it, and stay.

Cool... I have a similar setup with my boy. He is 8 weeks and has 200 sq feet to romp in with his toys and bed :)

aww what a cutie pie! i would work on having him sit and down fast and speedy on only audio command. just for fun. a lot of pups learn to generalize to sit and down only in front of you ( that's where people usually ask the pup to do it), a lot of pups also learn to generalize with hand signals. you want pup to be able to do it by voice command
