...Sonja.

It turns out the lady that was approved to adopt Sonja got cold feet

I'm a little frustrated since she was given ALL the facts about her kidney disease and so forth. She knew befor submitting her application and having in in-home check done. She knew before I picked her up from the station so she could come and meet Sonja when I picked her up from the vet last week and speak to and ask questions to the vet that has been looking after her since she came to me early this summer. She knew about her kidney disease before she kept in contact with me for months through out Sonja's heartworm treatment and telling me about where she would be sleeping and how perfectly she would fit in her new home.

What a bummer. I told the rescue that even if she were to turn around and say that she still wanted to have Sonja I would say "no". I want Sonja to find a home where the person/people will be excited until the end about her adoption. She is such a special girl and she deserves to have a secure home for her remaining years.

Oh well, I am in no rush to get rid of her anyhow

Aw, I'm sorry.

But, you're right, her final adopter should be excited about having her. Who knows, maybe you are the one....;)

Sonja is going to her new forever home today at 3pm. I have her here at work with me so I can spend as much time with her as possible before she goes.
