Athena got spayed last month. She's all healed up and doing fine. The first night, she was passed out in the yard for hours. D'Argo sat out there with her the whole time. It was super cute.
Yesterday, Athena walked underneath D'Argo. He's such a moose. And he's the runt.
He's 8 months old and continues to be a pain in the ass. He tries to eat all the furniture and the cat. He's too lazy to be trained. He'll just flop down and you can't get him to move with any type of food bribe. Sometimes, I have to drag him across the floor just to get him out of my way. Seriously, he's like a bear rug. He's also in some sort of super barky stage. I mean, I know TMs bark but he is extra barky. He usually starts about five minutes after I go to bed. Because he's considerate like that. Basically, he's a perfect TM.
We've been having a run of hot weather out here so we bought some air conditioners. For the dogs. They spend the entire day not moving. Like furniture. Athena continues to be super sweet to us and super evil to strangers. She's awesome. D'Argo is too lazy to care about people. Unless we are walking around the neighborhood, then he barks at everyone. Athena went throught that stage too. Now, she ignores just about all people when we walk. She's so non-reactive to weird situations, it's great. The other day we had a thunderstorm and a huge lightning flash/thunderclap went off really close. She just looked at me like WTF was that? And then she went on with her walk.
Anyway, I guess that's it. I still feel like I own two different breeds. They are just so different.
Here are some pictures of D'Argo watching over Athena after her surgery and one of him just looking giant.
