Hector looks so handsome with his crochet toy! Those toys are so cute!
Hank does love popping basketballs, and eating them piece by piece. I usually confiscate them when they start getting consumed. Anything with a squeaker is off limits. Hank whines and cries constantly when squishing them, not sure if its fun for him or if he's upset.
The crochet balls. Are they essentially one big huge knot? Do they last very long? IF they are worth the effort I might honestly try it. Hank, hank , hank... He's the pickie one. Roxy not old enough to get eccentric yet I guess.
Is the jolly ball an indoor-friendly toy too? I'm afraid of it getting swung around by the little handle and breaking things indoors, which is why I've held off on getting one despite the great reviews.
Crochet balls are not one huge knot. My dog rarely kills his toys so it lasts forever and will be around forever. If the dog works to destuff it or chew it to pieces, then it will happen pretty fast. I can make ones without stuffing, with stuffing w/squeakers, or just ones with stuffing. It's more durable than I had thought, but I don't have heavy chewers. Let me know what you prefer and I'll make one up.
Since everyone is a fan of the jolly ball, I might as well join the party. This was a gift from secret santa from mastiff forum 2 yrs ago???

Not an indoor toy for Miss Lou-Lou. She's put it though a wall the way she flings it around.

I had the 8" jolly ball with a rope in my Amazon shopping cart, but now I think I'll have to remove it. It sounds like a wrecking ball! Outdoor only toy--got it!
This West Paw Design tug of war toy is a favorite. It's made of a durable rubber (he's a hard puller) and doesn't give me rope burn when I play with him. I think it was around $15 on Amazon.

Sadness...I found this at the local PetValu today. I think it would survive the mastiff, but the terrier would kill it. Between her power jaws and his little razor blade teeth, I swear we have the best beta testing team for indestructible dog toys on the planet. If it can make it here, it can make it anywhere. Time to resurrect the crochet hooks.
