  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Time for Westminster!!!

Happened upon a replay of last year's show and caught the working group part. I've got to say, I was a little dissapointed with the mastiff that had won best of breed. No disrespect to the breeder, but I just didn't think he looked that impressive. He seemed short and a little chubby. Suprised he was the "best" representation of the breed last year.

I have always thought this about this particular dog. It's like they are trying to make up for his lack of mass with added weight. I'm not big on that entire line of dogs myself.

Sigh, neither Josee or Sasha placed in the group ring! Oh well.

Question, did Sasha'a muzzle look rather fine to anyone else? He has hardly any flews at all. I thought it was a quirk of the photos, but I was seeing it on TV too. Plus I'm not a fan of that grooming style they use on him, he's a handsome dog, they don't need to fluff his ruff like that, it looks silly.

I thought Sasha's groom job looked a little extravagant, honestly. Do they typically groom them like that? I giggled when they showed the EM rolling on the floor in the background.

And the Leonburger was beautiful!

Some do and some don't. His is rather excessive though IMO. He's a lion coat, so that makes it easier to fluff him up, but thats still a rather excessive job on his ruff....

Aslan's a lion coat too, but Susie doesn't believen in excessive grooming, and its technically against the standard anyway, not that that stops folks.

Just came back from the Garden. I have to say its the first time i saw a TM up close and live and its quite impressive. The EM was having a blast hahaha. Not very impressed with the CC. I liked the Bullmastiff. But as you guys said the mastiffs are lost in the backround in this show have no idea why. At the end i was cheering for the sheepdog :)
