Thinking of getting a second dog!

Hi!
We have an 18 month old male Bullmastiff. We are thinking of adding a second dog to our family. Does anyone have any suggestions on a breed of dog that would go well with our Bullmastiff?
He is very calm, and very good with our 5 year old son. As long as we take him on a daily walk he stays pretty calm, but he is very protective of our house and sometime can try to be dominate. He has been socialized with people and other dogs and he is always good with them. On occasion we doggysit a 5 year old female Brittany Spaniel and he is always good with her!
Thanks so much :)

Would you be interested in a female bullmastiff? That's what we'll get next. Last night dh & I were talking about another (thanks to the great dogs I see here) and we are both very interested in Cane Corso's ... But we also love our bullmastiff so much figure why mess with a good thing. We tend to get a new baby every 18months to 2 years (dog or child) so apparently we are due for one soon hence the puppy talks. We really aren't ready for another now but it sure would be fun. We have an 18m old Bullmastiff male, and an 8.5 yr old Shih Tzu male. They get along great. Mario gets along with most other dogs he meets male or female. :)

I say if you love the Bull Mastiffs then get another.
If you are looking at a sportier model then check out the Cane Corsos, strong, fast and great with kids.
