  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

So yea, waiting for puppies sucks!!!

I really believe that because since I really want my blue brindle, this thought crossed my mind "Get the red/brown one and wait for the next litter for a blue" LOL.

I would wait and see what the temperaments are and figure out which would work best in your family and decide that way. :)
To be completely honest, blue brindle is my least favorite color in the CC (I know most people like it, but I am not one of them), but Cribs has the temp and drive that we were looking for so she is the one we ended up with, regardless that she is Blue brindle.
Not trying to preach, but picking on color alone is not necessarily the best way to go.
I am surprised your breeder is letting you pick, most will wait until the litter is old enough then place in homes based on temperament, matching the right people to the right dog. :)

I totally understand what you mean but I had mentioned before color is my 2nd choice, after temperment, but yes it is a big factor for me. The mother is a blue brindle and her last litter (which I know I can't expect the exact same results) she had almost all blues. So we figured I would have a few pups to choose from. I know a lot of people dont prefer the blues, but I absolutely love them. Black would be my least favorite, ironically thats what the majority of this litter was, Lol. I couldn't take a pup and in the back of my head, not be completely happy with my choice. So I am going to wait and see how they progress and yes, see which one the breeder thinks would work best for me, then make my decision to take the pup or wait for the next litter. And the breeder does know what kind of temperment I would like to go along with my family and current dog, so she was going to point me in the direction of the pups best suited for me and then I pick. I hope I explained that well?
Btw, I love Cribs!! :)

Have you made a decision whether or not you are going to go with this litter or wait for the next?

Omg tell me about it!!! The waiting is absolutely dreadful, lol. But I am pretty sure I am going to talk to the breeder about waiting for the next litter. I really hope it isnt a problem. But I was very open about my color choice and I know colors cant be predicted nor will every blue or blue brindle be the perfect dog for me. I want the best temperment to fit my family, so I am willing to wait. I want to be 100% happy with my new baby :) But I still LOVE to see these little ones grow.

Hah ... the tiny puppy tongue made me go "squee!". Maybe "chocolate" is a pup-only color that'll become brindle with age? What color was the sire?

Cute little monsters LOL ... love the squinty expression. I know it's 'cause they're newborns, but it looks a lot like "Hey ... that flash is too bright!"

good luck with your decision. That is when they are so cute and snuggly...then the buggers open their eyes and figure out what they legs are for and it is all over! :)

LOL! Oak's owers are seriously in love and I can't see them letting that gorgeous boy going anywhere ;)

We are actually keeping two puppies from the litter, both the same colour as their daddy but we have just had the ears done so the cones do not make for cute pictures. The cones come off this weekend and we will snatch some new pics. LOL! Like they say you can't have just one :)
