i thought mines was tall rustie is 27in but he's abit heavier at 65.8kg = 145 lbs n his brother is 25in n 59kg =130lbs both r almost 20mons(2yrs old)

how old r your boys

I thought my guys were getting a big fat over the winter, so along with me we've been on a summer work out. I haven't weighed them for a good while and did it today...... I'm delighted they have both lost weight and are now what I think is a great weight, as there still young at just over 3....... I luv to see a good waist and tummy tuck :)
male now 58kg
female now 48kg

You should check out their dad at canecorsouk.com and look at Quincy. Now that's a "beast" and he only really started to fill out at 4 or 5 years of age so my guys have a bit to go :D

[h=1]TELESTO CANE CORSO[/h][h=2][/h]

[h=3]QUINCY JONES PORTA DELL INFERNO[/h]Quincy was imported from Porta Dell Inferno kennels in Germany in April 2008 by our friend Paul and came to live here at Telesto shortly after.

He is a dog with a great personality, fantastic temperament and incredible working ability. He has lots of stamina and really could go all day, there is no tiring this boy out. His intelligence levels are extremely high, he is eager to please and he loves to learn new things and go to new places.

His pedigree contains a number of famous dogs that we admire enormously including Paco, Jones, Akira, Tequila, Arras, Ettore, Dauna and Birillo as well as a number of dogs from rustic lines on his dam's side.

In January 2009 Quincy’s hips were x-rayed under the UK BVA scheme and his scores came back at a fantastic BVA 0 overall for his elbows and BVA 17 overall for his hips which we were very pleased with. Quincy is also fully DNA profiled.

We would like to extend our thanks to our friend Paul for entrusting us with Quincy and to Sandra from Porta del Inferno kennels for breeding such a fantastic dog that has more than exceeded our expectations on so many different levels.

Quincy is available at stud to females that have been fully health tested with good temperaments. Frozen semen available for export worldwide.

Totally understand .......to be fair my guys are farm dogs and active all day ( very good with all animals and have chickens running all around them as they sleep)...... I just try and keep them as light as possible when growing till 4 or 5 and then let them bulk up... You should see how high they can jump when a bit lighter..... no idea of Quincy's weight but I think he's 28" or so in hight...... I think the camera makes their heads look that big but their bodies diffo have some catching up to do lol

Best way to keep an old dog young is to keep testing them with new things...... Keep it up....... She might be finished now with the prong collar though hahaha....... she looks like a great old girl...... our last dog a GSD lived till 17 and was still very active till the last year
