Sign of inbreeding

I had someone tell me that a sure sign that a Bullmastiff has been to closely inbred is that they have more black fur intermingled in their coats. Has any one heard of this before?

Nope, and I would speculate it is a myth. Some fawn dogs have what we call more carbon to their coats but I have never heard it only coming out in inbred dogs.
