All of my fellow Bullmastiff (any dog for that matter) know they are part of our family. I had two bullmastiff's andy and timmy both under two and they went into to get neutered and my older of the two who was 23 months old made it through the surgery and then passed away that night from either an embolism or reaction to the anesthesia.. It has been a sad two weeks in our house.. HE was the perfect dog but he had a great life with us for the 23 months we had him.
My question is has anyone gone through a loss of a dog while and how long did the other dog grieve for? Andy our 18 months old bullmastiff has only known his brother since we brought him home and now he gone and Andy is lost. It's really sad, but andy gets all the attention and extra attention at that now.. It's just heartbreaking to loose a dog so young when we thought we would have a full decade with both boys together.
Andy advice on a grieving dog?
