Hello All,
I am new to this forum and have a question. I have a 12 weeks old mastiff male named Samsom. I also have 9 year old neutered male manchester terrier mix, a 2 year old spayed female pitbull mix, and a 2 1/2 year old chihuahua female that will be spayed very soon.
My question is can this pack live in harmony. My male manchester terrier was neutered at 7 months yet, occassionally will mount my female pitbull mix. I know this is probably due to being neutered at 7 months. I have no plans to neuter my mastiff male as he is beautiful and have no plans of bringing an unspayed female mastiff into our pack. My families plan is to stud my male when he is ready, and has been tested genetically.
What is your view on this, are there any examples out there of a pack of two spayed females, 1 neutered male and one unaltered male working out together, or any combination of this scenario? I really encourage spaying and neutering and have done it for all but my chi, and numerous fosters (pitbulls) in my home. They have all managed to live in harmony. Do you think this could work?
